- Above: This is 28996 Gunner Richard Alfred Curry, here in front of what we presume is his Morris F.A.T or Field Artillery Tractor, somewhere in North Africa. It has a "71" to its front bumper for the 5 NZ Field Artillery, and is to "C" troop, number "3", with a TAC sign for the 5th, with the colours Blue/Red/Yellow (though this could be khaki to). Richard was part of the 3rd Echelon, leaving New Zealand as an Artillery Reinforcement in 1940. Hailing from Masterton, he happily survived the war. A relative discovered a small envelope of some 60 images of his war experience and has happily passed them on (Curry family collection, Waiouru Army Museum).
They were not annotated, so are not in the order taken.
