A superb gilt brass, bullion thread and cloth peaked cap, cap badge to a Officer in the Merchant Marine.
Some slight wear to threads holding back center anchor, and dulling to gilt finish and bullion thread due to age.
No moth, and some loose black threads to back, indicating that its been removed from a hat in the past.
No maker mark. Hard to date, but looks to be a 1930's to 1940's construction.
