A small, reinforced cardboard award certificate/membership card to New South Wales Campsie Return Services League (R.S.L.) sub-branch to Mr W. G. Allen who has been awarded Life Membership on the 17th of December 1965.
I did a quick search of Boer War, WW1 and WW2 service records on the National Archive of Australia website and couldn't find a exact match on the name. Lifetime awards are usually give for recognition of outstanding services to the organisation.
Award is in good condition, with some stains and wear to front and back cover.
Inside, all signatures are clear and crisp, but there is some yellowing to paper.
