A single piece, brass shoulder title worn by the New Zealand Mounted Rifles during the 2nd Anglo-Boer War of 1899 to 1902.
Some light wear to front, with much of the darkened finish to stippling around the letters now gone/polished off.
To back are two copper looped lugs, of a semi-flat ribbon type (correct for this badge). Note one lugs is a little bent downwards, and both are slightly pulled, but firm and original.
