A single piece, gilt brass Cap badge worn by the overseas serving WW2 2nd New Zealand Expeditionary Force.
Good gilt finish to front, with light wear and good detail.
To back are two copper looped lugs, firm and original along with the tiny maker mark at the base of the back scroll to "M & K, W" on the left, for Mayer & Kean, Wellington. On the right, is the date "45", for 1945, and "NZ" for New Zealand.
