A single piece, gilt fired brass cap badge to the 9th (Hawkes Bay) Infantry Regiment.
With Queens Crown, this badge was worn from 1952 to 1964 when the 9th amalgamated with the 5th (Wellington) Infantry Regiment to become the Wellington (City of Wellington's Own) and Hawke's Bay Regiment, which was a Territorial Force Regiment of the Royal New Zealand Infantry Regiment.
Badge is in good condition, with just some minor wear/scratches to front finish.
To back are two long looped lugs, firm and original. No maker mark.
