A single piece, gilt brass broach badge to the New Zealand Women's Land Service. Organised and named in 1942, they were initially part of the Women's War Service Auxiliary (WWSA), but to add recruitment, a badge was created along with a uniform.
This badge was issued either with lugs or with a broach fitting, which this example has.
Badge is in good condition with some of the gilt finish still to front.
Broach fitting is also in good order to back, with pin, hook and hinge all present and working.
