A single piece, darkened gilt brass cap badge to the WW1 New Zealand 16th (Waikato) Infantry Regiment.
Light wear to front, with good detail, but the gilt has darkened with age.
To back, the gilt is still brilliant to detail, with two copper D shaped looped lugs, firm and original, but slightly pulled.
Maker plaque to base, back, to "J R Gaunt, London".
