A single piece, die stamped cap badge to the New Zealand 9th (Wellington East Coast Rifles) Infantry Regiment.
Worn from 1911 to 1952. This is maker plaqued to "J R Gaunt London" to back, which would be pre-1917. In 1923 the Regiment changed its title to the Hawkes Bay Regiment. The badge was the same.
Some wear light wear to front, with two copper looped lugs firm and original to back.
