A scarce white metal, 19mm fixed shank button to the New Zealand Armed Constabulary.
Formed in 1846 they formed the basis for the New Zealand Police in 1886.
Light wear and good detail to front.
To back is a fixed brass shank, slightly loose, but original.
Maker marked to "Smith & Wright, Birmingham" to brass backing plate.
