A single piece, chromed steel belt buckle to the WW1 Imperial German State of Prussia.
I was told long ago that Officers wore these chromed versions of the Enlistedman's buckle. I have found no evidence of this, and presume that its just been "chromed" as a souvenir at a later date.
Good detail to front, with just a minor patch of rust to wreath at base.
To back is some light surface rust, but prong, prong bar and D catch are all in good working order.
There is no maker mark.
