A single piece, gilt brass Cap badge to the 22nd Reinforcements to the WW1 NZ Expeditionary Force.
Light wear and some toning to gilt finish, otherwise fine detail to front.
To back are two hex type brass lugs, firm and original.
RD or registered design mark to front, just below the "NZ" to "RD887" which was owned by Mayer & Kean (Engravers), Wellington, N.Z. and registered on the 31st of August 1916.
The 22nd Reinforcements left NZ on the 13th & 16th of Feb 1917.
