A bi-mental pouch badge to the 1st Regiment of the Otago Mounted Rifles.
This is a early badge, worn just after 1911, when the 5th (Otago Hussars) Mounted Rifles were formed.
The badge is in good condition, but tone overall, and traces of old polish in detail.
To back are two bolt fittings, complete with washes and nuts, correct for the period and badge.
No maker mark.
