A 20mm, white metal button to the New Zealand Postal & Telegraph Department.
Its generally accepted now, that the white metal version of this button was worn by civilian workers, in employment of the New Zealand Government. While the brass version of this button could have been worn by the NZ Army Postal & Telegraph Corps.
Light wear and some polishing to the front of the button.
To back is a brass shank and maker plate to "J R Gaunt & Son Ltd, London". Shank is in good condition.
