A two piece, gilt brass and white metal cap badge to the New Zealand 1st (Canterbury) Infantry Regiment.
A locally made example, with good detail to front, but note the Heron's legs are missing in white metal to center.
To back are two looped copper lugs, slightly pulled, but firm to back.
No maker mark.
