A rather scarce WW1 Cap badge to the New Zealand Specialists Reinforcements.
This is the first type, and the hardest to find. There were two other, later types. This Cap badge was not worn with any collars.
Light wear to front detail, with good tone to front. NOTE top of crown is missing or possibly bent over and polished.
To back are two brass hex type lugs, firm and original to back. Note they are also correct for this badge too, it was never made with any other type.
Small RD or Registered Design number under the "NZ" and above the bottom scroll to front.
